Ultra
Electronics SML Technologies have won to be the prime contractor to fit
49 radars into platforms for BP in project jigsaw. In addition to
radar, the project includes VHF VoIP, DF, AIS, SML Transponders all
integrated with SML Command and Control software and SML PC radar
processing hardware. The work commences in October 2004 and the project
is due to be completed Q1 2006.
Ultra
Electronics SML Technologies have won a cotract to supply the Royal
Navy with portable navigation systems. These rugged and self contained
systems will use the SML Technologies Safe Navigator electronic chart
system software to display own ship's position on official Admiralty
raster charts.
Ultra Electronics SML Technologies has won a contract to supply the
Royal Navy with transponders and display software which will provide
the Royal Navy with the capability to track RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Sea
Boats) when launched from the mother ship.
The
Irish Naval Service has fitted RIB Tracking and MOB (Man Over Board)
recovery systems produced by Ultra Electronics SML Technologies to its
fleet. Output from these systems is displayed on the Ultra Electronics
SML Technologies WECDIS display.
Ulltra
Electronics SML Technologies has won a contract to supply navigation
and radar tracking systems for the Royal Navy's Type 45 Destroyers.
Wristwatch
Personal Locator Beacons designed and produced by SML Technologies Ltd
are set to make a major contribution to the safety of the offshore
industry. BP has now taken delivery of 3000 wristwatch PLBs, and 6
major offshore operators are committed to their use.
Ultra Electronics SML
Technologies has won a £750,000 Coastal Surveillance contract
in the far east.
All
crew members onboard the yachts participating in the Volvo Ocean Race
"Round the World 2001 - 2002" have been issued with Wristwatch Personal
Locator Beacons designed and produced by Ultra Electronics SML
Technologies.
